Toilet Repairs & Installation in Berwick
Running, leaking or blocked toilet? We fix the common faults and install new suites — neatly and to code.
A toilet is the one fixture in the house that has to work every single time. So when it starts running on, rocking, leaking onto the floor or refusing to flush properly, it goes from a minor annoyance to a genuine problem fast — especially in a busy family home or a rental where a tenant is on the phone. Borza Plumbing repairs all the common toilet faults and installs new suites across Berwick, Pakenham, Narre Warren, Officer and the wider South East.
Most toilet problems come down to a handful of worn parts inside the cistern — an inlet valve, a flush valve, a worn washer or a tired button mechanism. These are quick, affordable repairs when caught early. We carry the common cistern parts so we can usually fix a running or weak-flushing toilet in the one visit rather than leaving you waiting on parts.
Repair or replace the toilet?
Plenty of toilets that look like they need replacing just need new internals. We will always try a repair first where it makes sense. But if the pan is cracked, the cistern is crazed, the suite is leaking from multiple points or it is an old water-hungry single-flush unit, a new dual-flush suite often pays for itself in water savings — and we will tell you honestly which way is the smarter spend.

Common toilet faults & what they mean
Not sure what is going on? Here is what the usual symptoms point to.
| Symptom | Likely cause | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Toilet runs on after flush | Worn inlet or flush valve not sealing | Quietly wastes litres a day — fix early |
| Cistern won't fill / slow fill | Faulty inlet valve or blocked filter | Quick part swap in most cases |
| Weak or partial flush | Flush valve washer or button mechanism | Restores a full, clean flush |
| Water pooling at the base | Failed pan seal, loose bolts or cracked pan | Reseal or replace before floor damage |
| Toilet rocks or moves | Loose fixings or uneven floor | Refit and reseal to stop future leaks |
| Blocked, slow-draining pan | Blockage in the trap or further down the line | Cleared on site, or as a drain job if deeper |
Describe what yours is doing when you book a visit and we will turn up with the right parts.
Installing a new toilet suite
Upgrading or renovating? We handle the whole job, start to finish.
Remove the old suite
We isolate the water, drain and lift out the old pan and cistern cleanly, and check the floor and connector underneath.
Fit & connect the new one
The new suite — close-coupled, back-to-wall, wall-hung or in-wall — is set, sealed, levelled and connected to the water supply and waste.
Test & leave it tidy
We test the flush and every seal, confirm there are no leaks, and clean up so the only sign we were there is a toilet that works.

Toilet repair FAQs
Why does my toilet keep running after I flush?
A toilet that runs on is almost always a worn cistern part — usually the inlet (float) valve or the flush valve washer not seating properly. It is a small, common repair, but a constantly running toilet can quietly waste hundreds of litres a day, so it is worth fixing quickly.
Can you fix a leaking toilet at the base?
Yes. Water around the base of the pan usually means a failed wax or rubber seal, loose floor bolts, or a cracked pan. We will lift and reseal it, replace the connector or pan as needed, and check the floor underneath has not been damaged.
My toilet is blocked — is that a toilet repair or a drain job?
It depends where the blockage is. A blockage in the pan or trap we can often clear on the spot. If it sits further down the line, it becomes a blocked drain job and we will bring the right gear to clear it properly. Either way, one call sorts it.
Can you install a new toilet suite or in-wall cistern?
Yes. We supply and install close-coupled and back-to-wall suites, wall-hung pans and concealed in-wall cistern systems, all connected and tested to plumbing standards. We will make sure the new suite suits your bathroom and your water bill.
